Webinar

Carbon farming learnings from across Europe

On-demand

Join farmers from across Europe as they discuss their experiences of carbon farming in our next webinar on 8 December.

We’re excited to bring together regenerative farmers from Poland, Denmark and the UK for an open conversation on their transition to regenerative agriculture, the challenges and the benefits it has brought to their farm business.

📅 8 December 2023

⏰ 12:00 pm GMT

There will be opportunities for questions during the session, and we’re eager to hear what you want to learn about their real-life carbon farming experiences.

Thomas Gent

Regenerative Farmer, Agreena

Thomas Gent of Gentle Farming was the first UK farmer to join the AgreenaCarbon programme in the UK, and he has since collaborated with Agreena to bring its carbon payment programme to other UK farmers. The system allows a farmer to remain fully in control of their carbon certificates and choose to add as many or as few fields into the system as they feel comfortable with.

Niels Hansen

Regenerative Farmer

Niels Hansen practices conservation agriculture in Sjælland, Denmark. He is a 9th generation framer, growing, wheat, barley, oats, canola, peas, horsebeans on 300ha. He is farming regeneratively, with companion crops and cover crops.

Jamie Roberts

Regenerative Farmer, Trinity Gask Farms

Jamie Roberts is a Scottish farmer cropping 470ha in Perthshire who has practised the ethos of min till - and then switching fully to no till - for almost 20 years now. This was ultimately to improve time efficiencies and variable cost reductions, but has also improved and stabilised soil structure, increased worm populations and the general health of the soil.

The farm has undulating and sloping land that could be prone to rain water erosion (if ploughed) and so this was another benefit of moving to no till - virtually eliminating soil erosion, soil degradation, loss of soil bulk and nutrients.
