Thomas Gent

Regenerative Farmer, Agreena

Thomas Gent of Gentle Farming was the first UK farmer to join the AgreenaCarbon programme in the UK, and he has since collaborated with Agreena to bring its carbon payment programme to other UK farmers. The system allows a farmer to remain fully in control of their carbon certificates and choose to add as many or as few fields into the system as they feel comfortable with.

Camilla Hayselden-Ashby

Head of Product, fieldmargin

Camilla is the Head of Product for fieldmargin. She uses her mix of agricultural and business experience to understand farmers’ challenges in order to make the fieldmargin app more useful. Alongside her work at fieldmargin Camilla works on her family’s mixed farm in Kent and is doing a Nuffield Scholarship researching new cropping opportunities for UK farmers.

Cameron Hughes

Senior Land Use Policy Advisor, CLA

Cameron Hughes is a Senior Land Use Policy Advisor in the Land Use team and has a particular focus on agricultural policy, including ELMs, livestock and arable farming, farming systems and standards and resource protection.

Prior to joining the CLA in 2020, Cameron worked as a land agent in the south east for Carter Jonas and previously the National Trust. Cameron grew up in east Hampshire on the South Downs.

Joe Morrell

Rural Business Advisor, Sentry

Joe joined the Business Solutions team in October 2022 as a Rural Business Advisor having gained 5 years’ experience in the dairy industry through co-managing the family farm in Yorkshire before relocating to Suffolk. Prior to this Joe worked in the horticultural industry on farms located in Deal, Kent and abroad in Murcia, Spain as part of a 14-month university placement. Joe is a graduate of Harper Adams University, obtaining a Degree in Agriculture with Farm Business Management.
